Idaho Mother Faces Murder Charges Following Twins’ Death, Cites Vaccines as Cause
Legal Action Taken After Tragic Loss
Idaho mom charged with murder after – Authorities in Idaho have formally charged a young mother with two counts of first-degree murder following the passing of her twin children. Andrea Shaw, who is 23 years old and previously resided in Payette, Idaho, received the indictment last week according to local officials. The case centers on the deaths of her 18-month-old twins, whose bodies were discovered together in a shared sleeping area on May 1, 2025.
The arrest occurred on June 30 in Boise, coming after investigators spent more than twelve months examining evidence and gathering testimony. Shaw now faces serious legal consequences as prosecutors build their case against her in connection with the children’s deaths.
Vaccine Connection Emerges During Investigation
Shortly after the twins were found deceased, Shaw participated in a podcast recording produced by Children’s Health Defense, an organization that was previously directed by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who currently serves as the Secretary of Health and Human Services. During this appearance, she discussed her perspective on what she believed caused her children’s passing.
So, the way they worded it to me, especially on the second day of interrogation, they said that it wasn’t medical and that they determined asphyxiation, and that I had supposedly had a postpartum overwhelming blackout and done it to my children,
Shaw explained to podcast listeners that she held a different view than investigators. She maintained that the twins had received their routine vaccinations during an 18-month well-baby visit and subsequently passed away in their sleep several days later. A fundraising page created through GiveSendGo and connected to the podcast episode detailed the family’s position on the matter.
Legal Representation and Ongoing Proceedings
Shaw’s personal attorney, Joseph Filicetti, has publicly expressed agreement with his client’s assessment of the situation. Speaking with Boise television station KTVB, Filicetti stated that he also believes vaccinations played a role in the children’s deaths.
They were looking at it as a vaccine death, and that’s still what I believe it to be. I’m not a medical expert, but the medical experts I have, they go through a series of steps when looking at different complications.
According to KTVB’s reporting, the formal indictment contains allegations that Shaw suffocated her children. The court has set her bond at $2 million, and she remains in custody awaiting further proceedings. Her next scheduled appearance in Payette County District Court is set for July 14 at 1:30 in the afternoon.
Additionally, Shaw has initiated a civil lawsuit against the American Academy of Pediatrics, filing the case alongside Children’s Health Defense. This legal action asserts that medical professionals have failed to identify any alternative explanation for how each child died. Meanwhile, official police statements have deliberately avoided mentioning vaccines, suffocation, or any particular cause of death, indicating that additional details will emerge through the judicial process as the case develops.
