Wednesday marked the most intense Israeli aerial assault on Lebanon during the ongoing conflict. The attack lasted approximately 10 minutes, during which Israeli forces targeted the nation with over 100 strikes.
Lebanon’s health ministry reported a minimum of 182 fatalities and over 800 injuries as a result of the strike. The scale of damage and casualties highlighted the severity of the operation, which left many areas of Beirut in ruins.
BBC Middle East Correspondent Hugo Bachega was present in Beirut following one of the attacks, documenting the aftermath. His on-the-ground reporting provided critical insight into the impact of the strikes on civilians and infrastructure.
