Murder Arrest Over Primrose Hill Stabbing

A 27-year-old man was detained on Tuesday for suspected murder after Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old filmmaking student, was fatally stabbed in Primrose Hill. The incident occurred at the North London location, where officers arrived to investigate a fight. Sullivan was found with severe injuries and later succumbed to his wounds at the scene.

According to the Met Police, a 25-year-old individual was also arrested for allegedly aiding the suspect. Both men were taken into custody on Friday and are still being questioned. Emergency responders were called to the area shortly after 18:30 BST. A second person, in his 20s, was discovered nearby on Regent’s Park Road with stab wounds. His condition was assessed as non-critical, with no long-term impact on his health.

“Finbar’s family is receiving ongoing support from specialist officers during this challenging time,” said Det Insp Andy Griffin. “Despite the two arrests, our team is continuing to investigate all individuals connected to the event.”

Griffin also expressed gratitude to the public for sharing information and footage from the area. He emphasized that local patrols will be intensified in Primrose Hill and surrounding districts. Residents are advised to expect heightened police activity as authorities work to uncover more details.
