Virgin Atlantic unveils revamped lounge at Heathrow with cinema, work pods, and spa
Enhanced facilities for premium travelers
Virgin Atlantic has launched a redesigned Clubhouse at London Heathrow, introducing several new amenities. As part of the first phase of a major overhaul, Upper Class passengers now have access to upgraded comforts and personalized services. The transformation includes a dedicated cinema zone, VIP lounging areas, and a wellness-focused spa offering curated treatments.
Theatrical VIP experience in Royal Box
The concept was initially introduced in Virgin Atlantic’s Los Angeles Clubhouse. London’s new hub features a Royal Box area designed to elevate the VIP experience with a dramatic twist. This invite-only section includes velvet-covered sofas in the airline’s signature red, along with a ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ at its core — a bespoke table showcasing sweet treats and champagne moments.
Workspaces for productivity
Two private Work Pod studios have been added, providing travelers with focused environments. Each space includes integrated power outlets, sleek desks, and light-up indicators when in use. The design draws from Virgin Records’ artistic heritage, featuring framed vinyl records and modern aesthetics to blend functionality with style.
Gallery reimagined for panoramic views
The Gallery, a popular gathering spot, has been optimized for space efficiency and improved panoramic views of the runway. The area now offers a variety of seating arrangements, catering to individuals, couples, and business travelers. Brass tailfin accents and vibrant red color schemes reflect London’s transport legacy, while custom lighting and greenery enhance the ambiance.
Wellness experiences take flight
Guests can now enjoy limited-time wellness pop-ups, including manicures, massages, and facials. These sessions are available in three Somadomes — immersive wellness pods that deliver a mental reset through light therapy, sound healing, and meditation. The spa will remain open until April 30, with additional services available for the new Seoul route, such as OSKIA skincare and K-beauty treatments.
‘The Clubhouse is an iconic part of the Virgin Atlantic experience, and we’re proud to be unveiling a bold new chapter at Heathrow,’ said Juha Jaervinen, Chief Customer Officer. ‘This investment reflects our commitment to continually innovating for our customers, combining wellbeing, entertainment, and distinctive design in a way only Virgin Atlantic can. And this is just the beginning — with even more exciting plans to come, including new ways for guests to make the most of plane spotting while soaking up the London sunshine from our roof terrace.’
