Eight Men Face Federal Charges Over Plotted Assault on White House UFC Gathering

Coordinated Plot Discovered Through Digital Communications

8 indicted in White House UFC event - On Thursday, federal authorities unveiled charges against eight individuals accused of orchestrating a sophisticated assault targeting the White House's historic UFC cage-fighting celebration held last month. The comprehensive indictment outlines allegations of both drone deployment and sniper operations aimed at disrupting the high-profile event.

The legal documents, filed in an Ohio court, detail two distinct conspiracy theories connecting the accused. These include charges related to providing substantial assistance to terrorist organizations alongside accusations of plotting to kill individuals on federal premises and targeting a government official specifically.

Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Kash Patel revealed earlier this month that a coordinated effort spanning multiple states successfully prevented what could have been a devastating attack. Authorities learned of the impending threat merely four days prior to the event, on June 10, by monitoring conversations within Signal messaging applications.

"Thanks to the rapid action of this FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold," Patel stated in a social media post.

Targets Included Prominent Political and Business Figures

Prosecutors contend that the conspirators initiated their planning phase during May, utilizing various internet discussion boards and chat platforms to coordinate their efforts. By the time the June 14 UFC gathering approached, the group had finalized their selection of targets for the assault.

The list of intended victims encompasses some of America's most recognizable names. According to the charges, the conspirators aimed to eliminate President Trump, Vice President Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and technology billionaire Elon Musk, along with several additional high-value individuals attending the celebration.

The severity of the charges reflects the magnitude of the planned violence. Providing material support to terrorists carries a maximum penalty of fifteen years behind bars, while conspiracy to commit murder can result in a life sentence without parole.

All Defendants Named in Single Indictment

The Department of Justice identified the eight accused individuals as Abraham H. Alvarez, Daniel K. Eskridge, William L.S. Falkner, Tycen J. Proper, Jordan W. Rincker, Bryan O. Roa, Chandler D. Scaggs, and Michael A. Thomas.

Previously, federal prosecutors had filed separate criminal complaints across various judicial districts in connection with the thwarted conspiracy. The latest indictment consolidates all eight defendants under unified conspiracy charges, streamlining the legal proceedings and highlighting the interconnected nature of their alleged activities.

The successful prevention of this attack demonstrates the effectiveness of modern intelligence gathering methods, particularly the monitoring of encrypted messaging platforms where potential threats often emerge before they materialize into action.
